This customer, part of an American corporation, is active worldwide in equipment, systems and digital solutions for the railway and transport sector. This customer is the market leader in relay technology and circuit breakers for both the train and railway industry and the electricity market.
For their mechanical components, they found in us a partner who could meet the stringent requirements regarding magnetism and material quality.
Challenge
The punching of high-quality copper and nickel, equipped with special coatings for magnetic properties. In addition, this customer requested precision in dimensions, diversity in materials and optimal reproducibility.
Solution
Based on the requirements specification, we worked with this customer to redesign part of the product. We used our knowledge of die-cutting processes and material behaviour to further improve functionality and consistency.
Results
The result is an optimized and reliable part, produced with a high degree of precision and material control.
